  • The Pursuit of a Lifetime program is designed to inspire residents throughout The Brenda Strafford Foundation to live life to the fullest, and to continue dreaming and pursuing their passions.

Putting people first is a core value at The Brenda Strafford Foundation. We strongly believe in a person-centred approach to our care, services and environment. To further embed the importance of person-centred care through ‘The BSF Way,’ The Foundation is embarking on a number of measures to ensure our actions support our mission to provide person-centred care and services that optimize well-being and enrich lives for our residents and families.

‘Pursuit of a Lifetime’ is designed to inspire our residents to continue dreaming and pursuing their passions and goals.

Are you a resident that has dreamed of doing something that would have a positive impact on your life?... Do you know a deserving resident who would benefit from a wish fulfilled?... We invite you to apply!

Examples of resident wishes could include (but certainly not limited to):

  • Fulfilling lifelong dreams (e.g. meeting the Calgary Flames or swimming with dolphins)
  • Reconnecting with loved ones (e.g. reuniting with family that live overseas)
  • Renewing and celebrating passions (e.g. learning an instrument or an academic goal)
  • Visiting a special destination

In the spirit of respect, reconciliation and gratitude, we honour and acknowledge that our services are provided on the traditional territories of Treaty 7, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations, the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Good Stoney Bands. These territories are also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 3. We are grateful for the many First Nations who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We acknowledge that we have ongoing responsibilities to protect, honour and celebrate all of life within our shared communities.
