At our five continuing care sites in Calgary and Okotoks, Alberta, we operate with a steadfast team of approximately 1,500 employees, providing exceptional care and living services to more than 1,000 older adults and their families. Our foundational approach, ‘The BSF Way,’ prioritizes quality of life and person-centred care and services.
BSF extends its reach to provide and support a variety of healthcare services the Caribbean nations of Haiti, Jamaica, and Dominica.
At BSF, we firmly believe in the power of research and innovation to drive meaningful progress. Through collaborations with academic institutions, the public sector, and private enterprise, we are continuously and actively engaged in projects that align with our strategy.

Donating your vehicle to The Brenda Strafford foundation is a major help, and super simple to do! Our amazing partners at Donate a Car will coordinate everything. All you need to do with your unwanted vehicle is fill out the online form and either drop off the vehicle or have it towed at your convenience. These donations are tax deductible, and we will gladly provide a tax receipt upon your request.

As we partner with many organizations that specialize in distributing used goods to people in need, we only accept used donations if we have a specific request out on our website or social media. You can make a tax-smart donation to support BSF by donating securities. Please reach out to Amber at amber.williams@thebsf.ca for instructions.
You can support BSF with the refund of your recyclables through SkipTheDepot. They will pick up your bottles at your convenience, so all you need to do is download the app and book your pickup time. Choosing BSF as the recipient of your bottle money will entitle you to a tax receipt for your contribution of $20 or more at the end of the year. Sign up today by downloading the app.
