"My career/life goal is to make positive contributions to work that ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I feel fortunate to be able to do this as a member of the Brenda Strafford Foundation, as there are many things that I love about BSF. I love that our work is person-centered and guided by our philosophy, "The Preservation of Dignity and the Pursuit of Happiness"; I love the comradery and collaboration that is palpable among the staff; and I love our commitment to quality and innovation, which is embedded into our culture. I feel like everyone here is always looking for ways to improve, with many people pursuing learning opportunities. Personally, being able to participate in BSF's Education Reimbursement Fund has enabled and encouraged me to continue my own learning, helping me pursue another master's degree in Global Challenges. I am halfway through the program and have been able to directly apply concepts I have learned in the program to my work. This has directly helped my personal progression from the Director of Institut Brenda Strafford, BSF's specialty medical clinic in Haiti, to my current role as Chief Social Impact Officer."
