June 3-9, 2024 is Seniors’ Week!
Recognized annually across Alberta, this week is an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation for older adults and the contributions they make to our communities. This year's theme in Calgary is "Aging is More... Let's enjoy the journey together,” with a focus on exciting all Calgarians about aging.
At The Brenda Strafford Foundation, we’re thrilled to celebrate the seniors in our lives, and to share the joy, love, and wisdom they bring to our community. In honour of Seniors’ Week, we asked our residents and families to share a photo of their favourite memory to bring joy to our community and highlight the unique and inspiring journeys of those who call BSF home.
Meet Clifton House resident, Rosemarie, whose favourite memories take us back to an important person in her life: her husband, Murray.
“My favourite memories are times I spent with my husband Murray,” she shared. “We used to love to travel and this picture of us was taken when we went on a Mediterranean cruise. It was so much fun!”
