Ashley G and her parents are grateful to BSF for funding she received to pursue a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting. Initially, Ashley was pursuing an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She said, "I had the opportunity to take several courses that explored both Human Resources and Accounting. It was through these courses that I discovered my passion for working with numbers and solving problems. I would get excited when it comes to doing Accounting and that's when I knew this was truly my passion.
I want to work at an accounting firm, preferably KPMG to further my skills in accounting after this degree. Additionally, I want to do my ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) examinations as I aspire to become a Chartered Accountant, so the journey doesn't end here.
"Be the change you want to see" is a quote that will always stay with me. I want to make a difference in my field by being an example to others and embrace ethical standards such as integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and professional competence.
