The Dr. Barrie Strafford Center for Learning, Innovation, and Quality (CLIQ) recently had the opportunity to showcase the MOVE Improve app developed by researchers at University of Calgary and Savvy Knowledge Corporation. This app is designed to enhance skill development by providing side-by-side video comparisons and detailed analysis, helping users improve their techniques and master new abilities.
CLIQ partnered with researchers from Savvy Knowledge to trial the app with an occupational therapist and physical therapist at Cambridge Manor, where they helped 10 residents assess and adjust the fit of their walkers.
This trial marks another step in how CLIQ is seeking to implement innovative technology to enhance human performance and improve quality of life for our residents. We’re excited about the potential this app holds for a wide range of applications in healthcare, therapy, and beyond.
CLIQ’s collaboration in projects like this is a testament to BSF’s mission to be an innovative force, providing high-quality person-centred care and services. We encourage any interested collaborator or innovator to explore our Driving Innovation in Continuing Care: A Guide for Innovators
