The Brenda Strafford Foundation is proud to be the first seniors’ care provider in Canada to introduce the Cycle Without Age trishaw bikes at all five of our seniors’ care sites within our organization.

Cycling Without Age is a global movement building intergenerational relationships on cycle trishaw rides. The Brenda Strafford Foundation has partnered with Cycling Without Age Canada to bring bikes to each of our sites and train our staff to be Bike Pilots.

What do our staff and residents think about Cycling Without Age?

“It’s great! I love it! I felt free.”

Mary, Resident, Bow View Manor.

“As Recreation Therapy professionals, we are always trying to think outside the box on how to engage residents with new and innovative programs that remove boundaries to leisure and optimize quality of life. That’s why we were absolutely thrilled to receive a donation of a trishaw from the Cycling Without Age organization, not only to provide our residents with an exciting new experience, but to further enhance their opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors!”

Sherry Little, Manager of Therapeutic Recreation at Tudor Manor
