"During the pandemic, I thought to myself that I would like to try something new and keep busy, so I enrolled myself into a recreation therapy aide program. Taking this program was very important, as I learned and gained so much information and knowledge about recreation, which is so important for our residents. Receiving the scholarship was a great accomplishment for me as I know sometimes when we try new things it can be overwhelming, but I thought it would be great to have down the long run. What I love must about the BSF is that everyone here is so kind and hardworking and dedicated to our residents and family members. I encourage anyone who might be thinking about it to take the scholarship."

In the spirit of respect, reconciliation and gratitude, we honour and acknowledge that our services are provided on the traditional territories of Treaty 7, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations, the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Good Stoney Bands. These territories are also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 3. We are grateful for the many First Nations who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations.
